After receiving much criticism for her weight earlier this year, Jessica Simpson returned to the stage this past weekend wowing the crowd with her newly toned figure, UsMagazine.com reported.
During a gig Saturday at SeaWorld in San Antonio for the park's "Bud & BBQ" country-music series, Simpson graced the stage in a navy-blue dress but quickly changed into her now-signature Daisy Dukes. Only moments before hitting the stage, she Tweeted, "Get ready for greatness, Shamu." After leaving the stage — where Simpson appeared to be all smiles — she Tweeted, "Just overcame my fear of sharks by kissing a killer whale!"

In addition to Tweeting about the show, she has also most recently Tweeted about how hard she's been working out with her trainer. She said, "Every time we have to do squats, and he yells at me, 'Get lower like you're in the club!' I don't squat in the club unless I am peeing!"
Simpson also recently opened up to Vanity Fair about the media criticism she's faced in the last few months about her alleged weight gain and her reported onstage breakdowns and flubs. "When it comes to media criticism, that's just something I have had to train myself — literally train myself — to ignore," she said. "Because I'm the one up there onstage, and I can feel the energy of the crowd. And I know when I did good. And I know when I did great. And there wasn't one time on this tour when I felt like I butchered it. I mean, the way people make it sound, I should have never been singing in the first place."
Simpson, who recently made the leap from pop music to country music, added, "I know that every day the media's going to challenge me, is going to want to bring me down. But I feel like I'm at such a place that I own myself, and it's authentic. I own that authentic part of myself, and none of those words are harsh enough to make me believe them."
